WASHINGTON – Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her post as US Director of National Intelligence, according to a Fox News report on Friday.
Gabbard notified US President Donald Trump during a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, the report said.
"My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer," Fox News quoted her resignation letter as saying.
"At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle," she said.
