
HONG KONG - To mark the National Security Education Day, the Security Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government on Wednesday led the disciplined services to hold a joint flag-raising ceremony at the Hong Kong Police College.
Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan Kwok-ki officiated at the ceremony.
The HKSAR government announced on Tuesday that the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the HKSAR will host the National Security Education Day opening ceremony and seminar on Wednesday morning at the Convention and Exhibition Center. Xia Baolong, director of the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, will attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech via video link.
This year's National Security Education Day will be observed under the theme "Proactively Align with the 15th Five-Year Plan: Follow a Holistic Approach to Development and Security."
