CE to attend Boao Forum in Hainan

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu will depart for Hainan on Tuesday to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026.

Lee will attend the opening plenary of the annual conference, which has the theme "Shaping a Shared Future: New Dynamics, New Opportunities, New Cooperation", and deliver a keynote speech at the Global Free Trade Port Development Forum, according to a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government statement.

He will return to Hong Kong on March 26. During Lee’s absence, Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan Kwok-ki will be the Acting Chief Executive, it added.
