
HONG KONG - The Commissioner's Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has lodged stern representations with foreign missions over their comments on Jimmy Lai Chee-ying's sentencing.
The office recently met with representatives of countries, including Britain, the United States, Australia, and the European Union agencies in Hong Kong. It lodged stern representations against their officials and politicians for making negative remarks on Lai's sentencing, expressing strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition.

The office urged these countries, organizations, and politicians to respect China's sovereignty and Hong Kong's rule of law, to immediately stop making irresponsible comments on national security cases, and to cease all forms of interference in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal matters.
