Kuwait reshuffles cabinet, appoints new ministers

KUWAIT CITY - Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a decree on Sunday to reshuffle the cabinet, appointing new ministers to key portfolios, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Under the decree, Yaacoub Al-Sayed Yousef Al-Refaei was appointed minister of finance, and Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah minister of foreign affairs, KUNA reported.

The decree also redesignated Omar Saud Al-Omar as minister of state for communications and information technology.

Other ministerial appointments were made as part of the reshuffle, KUNA said, without providing further details.
