
China is willing to work with the United States to effectively maintain and utilize the Sino-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, manage differences, and advance cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
Speaking at a weekly news briefing, He Yongqian, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Commerce, said that China and the US — guided by the principles of equality, respect, and mutual benefit — held five rounds of trade talks, which led to a series of positive outcomes in 2025.

"This fully demonstrates that through equal dialogue and consultations, China and the US are able to find solutions to economic and trade differences," He said.
The commerce official also noted that following the meeting between the two heads of state in Busan, both sides have continued to maintain communication at all levels through the Sino-US economic and trade consultation mechanism.
