
Hong Kong International Airport handled 5.19 million passengers in November, an increase of 17.1 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Airport Authority Hong Kong.
AAHK said in a statement on Sunday that the airport also recorded 33,495 flight movements, up 7.7 percent year-on-year, while the number of transfer/transit passengers soared 50.9 percent from a year ago, largely due to the Chinese mainland and Southeast Asia markets.

Traffic to and from the mainland and North America recorded the most significant gains last month. Cargo throughput grew to 486,000 tonnes, an increase of 5.9 percent year-on-year.
Over the first 11 months of 2025, HKIA handled over 55 million passengers, an increase of 15.3 percent compared to the same period a year ago, while flight movements rose by 8.8 percent year-on-year to 358,825.
Cargo volume saw a 2.7 percent year-on-year increase to about 4.61 million tonnes, with export traffic remaining the primary contributor of growth.

Overall cargo to and from Europe, the mainland and India recorded significant increases, while traffic to and from North America continued to decline due to US tariffs, the AAHK said.
On a 12-month rolling basis, passenger volume increased by 15.5 percent year-on-year to over 60.3 million, while flight movements increased by 9.1 percent to 392,350. Cargo throughput grew by 3.0 percent to 5.06 million tonnes year-on-year.
