More than 3,500 runners gathered at the Ayutthaya Old City Hall to participate in the Ayutthaya Marathon 2025 on Sunday.

The marathon, co-hosted by China Daily, the Ayutthaya Tourist Business Association, the Ayutthaya Running Club and The RVi Group, is part of China Daily's "Run With History" series, which organizes races at UNESCO heritage sites across Asia to enhance cultural appreciation through sports.

This year’s marathon was also held under the theme “Celebrating Thailand–China Friendship Through Sports and Culture,” highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations and the importance of cultural collaboration in strengthening people-to-people ties.
