
Hong Kong's Siobhan Haughey, known as the "flying fish", won her first National Games gold medal in the women's 200-meter freestyle on Thursday and the city's first swimming medal at the 15th National Games.
The Asian record-holder completed the race in 1 minute and 54.85 seconds, earning her the top spot on the podium at Shenzhen Universiade Center. Li Bingjie of Hebei and Liu Yaxin of Zhejiang finished in first and second places, respectively.
This win takes Hong Kong's gold medal tally at the National Games to three so far, following triumphs in sailing and road racing.
