CARACAS - The United States is attempting to "disrupt" Venezuela's gas agreements in the Caribbean region, Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez said Thursday.

Speaking via teleconference at a ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Doha, Qatar, Rodriguez denounced what she called the United States' "warmongering threats" against Venezuela and Caribbean countries.

"They seek to steal our hydrocarbon resources, oil and gas," she said.

Rodriguez said Venezuela would continue to defend the sovereign use of its natural resources, including oil and gas, and promote international cooperation and shared development.
