Celebrated worldwide for his futuristic aesthetics and hyperrealism, legendary Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama is holding his first solo exhibition in South China at the Shenzhen Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Museum.

Titled Light, Reflection, Transparency, the retrospective exhibition opened on Sunday and will run until Jan 11, 2026.

It features the artist's most significant works spanning nearly half a century, from the late 1970s to the present, including his iconic humanoid robot sculptures and illustrations.
