China's parcel delivery sector has handled over 140 billion shipments so far this year, averaging more than 530 million parcels per day, according to the State Post Bureau of China.
Liao Jinrong, deputy director of the bureau, noted that holiday deliveries carry both goods and family warmth. He said that officials expect a slight dip during the upcoming eight-day Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays from Wednesday to Oct 8 before volumes return to normal.

To ensure smooth operations, officials are focusing on capacity management, service quality, safety, and protection of delivery workers' rights. Major distribution centers and trunk lines are being monitored, complaint channels remain open 24/7, safety inspections are strengthened, and companies are urged to arrange rest and welfare for on-duty staff.
