TEHRAN - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday the implementation of the agreements reached during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 will create favorable prospects for the country in the economic, security, scientific and tourism areas.
He made the remarks upon arriving in Iran's capital Tehran from China, where he took part in the summit from Sunday to Monday in Tianjin and the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing, according to a statement published on the website of his office.

"We stressed peace based on rights and justice" at the SCO Plus Meeting and China proposed the Global Governance Initiative, "in which truth- and justice-based frameworks and rules should be observed and double standards should not be applied," Pezeshkian said.
He also highlighted the 24 outcome documents on strengthening SCO cooperation in sectors such as security, economy and people-to-people ties, noting that "the most important achievement of the trip was the opportunity to hold direct talks with the participating countries' leaders."
