MINSK - The joint military drills of Belarusian and Russian forces will take place from Sept 12 to 16, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
The "Zapad-2025" military exercise will be held on Belarusian territory, focusing on the assessment of both countries' capabilities in ensuring the military security of the Union State and their readiness to counter potential aggression, the ministry said.

During the exercises, participants will practice repelling enemy air attacks, conducting defensive battles, defeating breakthrough enemy forces, restoring territorial integrity, providing air support to troops, and combating illegal formations and sabotage groups.
The event will involve around 13,000 personnel, according to media reports.
