BEIJING - The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) unveiled a 23-member roster for the Chinese men's national team training camp on Monday, featuring CBA League regular season MVP Hu Jinqiu and NBA prospect Yang Hansen.
Hu, instrumental in leading the Zhejiang Lions to a 4-2 victory over the Beijing Ducks in last month's 2024-2025 CBA finals with averages of 22.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, is joined on the roster by club teammate Zhu Junlong. Key players from CBA runners-up Beijing Ducks Zhou Qi, Zeng Fanbo, and Lei Meng have also been selected.
Qingdao Eagles center Yang Hansen, who has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, is expected to join the camp following his commitments in the United States.
The training camp, scheduled from June 13 to July 23, will prepare the team for August's FIBA Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia.
"This Asian Cup is an important event in our team's preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics," said head coach Guo Shiqiang. "We will gear up for the tournament, demonstrating the team spirit of unity, dedication, resilience, and tenacity in every game. We will give our all to strive for good results."
