MACAO - Macao has returned to the world's top 100 cities for international conferences, according to the 2024 annual market report released by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the special administrative region's trade and investment institute said on Friday.

The report showed that Macao ranked 14th in the Asia-Pacific region, up six places, and 76th globally, a jump of 31 spots, tying with Beijing and Doha. This was the first time since 2019 that Macao had reentered the global top 100.

According to the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the results reflect Macao's growing strength as a MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) destination.
ICCA is a well-recognized organization in the global convention industry, with over 1,100 government organizations, convention-related companies, and convention centers from approximately 100 countries and regions.
