BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.01 percent to open at 3,380.21 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.03 percent lower at 10,246.52 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.17 percent to open at 2,052 points.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
