Putin says Russia ready to facilitate US-Iran nuclear talks

MOSCOW- Russia is ready to facilitate negotiations between Iran and the United States on Teheran's nuclear program to reach a fair agreement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday in a phone call with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian.

The two leaders discussed the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the United States mediated by Oman, the Kremlin said in a statement.

The talk also covered the development of bilateral relations, with a focus on expanding trade and investment ties and joint projects in transport and energy, the Kremlin added.

The leaders agreed to deepen practical cooperation and further coordinate foreign policy efforts, it noted
