MOSCOW - A Ukrainian drone strike hit a crowded market in the town of Aleshki in Kherson region on Thursday, killing at least seven people and injuring more than 20 others, local authorities said.

Vladimir Saldo, head of the Kherson region, said on his Telegram channel that the attack occurred around 9:30 am local time (0630 GMT) in the area of the central market, where many civilians were present at the time of the attack.
According to Saldo, the strike involved a large number of drones.
