Vietnam's president visits Laos to enhance bilateral ties

VIENTIANE - Vietnamese President Luong Cuong led a high-level delegation on a state visit to Laos from April 24 to 25 at the invitation of Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, to further strengthen longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, Luong Cuong held talks with Thongloun Sisoulith, exchanging views on national developments and reviewing bilateral cooperation, the Lao People's Army News reported on Friday.

They highlighted progress in key areas such as politics, defense, trade, education, health, culture, and tourism, while stressing the importance of implementing agreements and strengthening regional economic connectivity.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

They witnessed the signing of three documents.
