Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw at lowly Udinese in Serie A on Monday after a stoppage-time goal by forward Isaac Success canceled out a Victor Osimhen header.

Napoli, now winless in four games, moved up to eighth on 51 points from 35 games and are nine points behind both fifth-placed Atalanta and AS Roma, in sixth.

Last year's champions have only managed one victory in their last eight Serie A games.

Udinese, led by new coach Fabio Cannavaro who was appointed two weeks ago, were under pressure for most of the game and only crafted two shots on goal

After a first half to forget, in which none of the teams managed a shot on target, Osimhen nodded home to give Napoli the lead in the 51st minute.

Matteo Politano sent a lofted cross from the right into the middle of the box and the Nigerian striker headed the ball in off the left post for his 15th league goal of the season.

He was then close to adding a second when Stanislav Lobotka fed him a neat low pass into the box but Udinese keeper Maduka Okoye was a step quicker to the ball.

Osimhen thought he eventually doubled the advantage in the 80th minute but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Udinese, led by new coach Fabio Cannavaro who was appointed two weeks ago, were under pressure for most of the game and only crafted two shots on goal.

This, however, turned out to be enough to rescue a point as Success bundled in the leveller in stoppage time, netting from a Thomas Kristensen header.

Udinese only picked up two points across their previous 15 Serie A matches against Napoli.
