BANGKOK - Iran beat Thailand 4-1 in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup final here on Sunday to claim a record-extending 13th title.
Iran enjoyed a flying start with a 1-0 lead in the first minute before making it 2-0 five minutes later.
Thailand tried to claw its way back with a goal after the interval, but Iran silenced the home crowd with its third just two minutes later.

The top four of the 16 teams in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup slated between September 14 and October 6 in Uzbekistan.

As third-placed Uzbekistan has automatically qualified as the host nation, fifth-placed Afghanistan booked a place at the tournament with a 5-3 playoff win against Kyrgyzstan.
