FIM Asia Road Racing, Huizhou rubber duck, Macao trade meet

HONG KONG – For many motorcycle-racing enthusiasts, April 19-21 is going to be adrenaline-fueled three days of racing because of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2024.

After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship returns to China for the second consecutive year. The race at Zhuhai International Circuit, which is the second round of the season 2024, will bring together top motorcyclists from various places to compete in five thrilling categories, delivering an ultimate feast of speed and excitement for motorsport enthusiasts.

Apart from experiencing the race up close, visitors can also enjoy food and interactive activities, tour the pit area, and attend riders’ autograph sessions.

Rubber duck returns

Being obsessed with giant rubber ducks? Come to Huizhou from April 26 to May as a lovely duckling will dock by the city’s Danshui river and appear at the Huiyang Sports Conference and Exhibition Centre.

The event, a stop of the rubber duck’s China tour, will also feature a diverse array of innovative activities surrounding the duck’s exhibition, including cultural and sports events and a food carnival. The rubber duck, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, made its debut in 2007 in the Netherlands and has since captivated millions of fans worldwide.

Boosting trade cooperation

The 6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) will be held in Macao from April 21 to 23.

The Ministerial Conference will outline the development vision and direction for cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries for the period until 2027. The Strategic Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation (2024-2027) will be signed, and an entrepreneur conference between China and Portuguese-speaking countries is expected during the conference.

Nine Portuguese-speaking countries, including Portugal, Brazil, and Angola, will attend the event.
