Marking its 12th anniversary, the 2023 Campus News Awards was held Monday in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, gathering over 100 outstanding student reporters from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
China Daily Hong Kong established the awards in 2012 to encourage college students to actively participate in campus news reporting and hone their all-round skills as future journalists.
This year saw over 1,000 entries produced by more than 3,600 students in 84 colleges, the highest level of participation yet since 2012.
