Highlighting the heritage of the Chaoshan people, a forum was held Wednesday at the Chinese University of Hong Kong that delved into their track record of trade booms and potential economic contributions to the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum, titled “Academic and Policy Forum on Global Chao People and Belt and Road”, was organized by the Federation of Hong Kong Shantou Community Organizations and The Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at CUHK.
