BEIJING - Meizhou Hakka secured a 2-1 comeback win over Shandong Taishan, while Shanghai Port was held to a 0-0 draw by Tianjin Jinmen Tigers in the 2023 Chinese Super League on Saturday.

Shandong opened the scoring in the 16th minute as Chen Pu scored a tap-in after his teammate's volley was denied by Meizhou goalkeeper.

Meizhou pulled one back in the 58th minute when Rade Dugalic netted a towering header from a corner, and the team kept up their momentum, as eight minutes later Chen Zhechao scored a powerful volley to help clinch the victory.

Shanghai Port endured a narrow escape against Tianjin, as Slovenian striker Robert Beric of the latter slotted the ball into the net twice in the second half but both strikes were disallowed.
