Greetings pour in for CPC

Editor’s note: Leaders of foreign political parties, government officials, international organizations, and lawmakers worldwide have congratulated the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping of the committee on the 20th CPC National Congress. In their congratulatory messages, they spoke highly of the CPC’s remarkable achievements and its important contributions to improving the well-being of the Chinese people and people in the rest of the world.

The Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party said the party fully supports Xi Jinping’s vision of building a human community with a shared future, and stands ready to continuously consolidate the ironclad friendship between the two sides and jointly build a Cambodia-China community with a shared future. 

Under the outstanding leadership of the CPC, China has scored remarkable achievements and made significant contributions to safeguarding world peace and stability and boosting development and prosperity, said Hun Manet, member of the Cambodian People’s Party’s Permanent Committee and the country’s prime minister candidate.

Over the past 10 years, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee and Xi, China has made unprecedented historic achievements in fields such as economy, science and technology, said Vijay Jolly, senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in India. He hopes that India and China will have more contacts to further promote the development of bilateral relations.

Under the guidance of the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism and scientific socialism, the CPC will surely march towards a more successful future, said D. Raja, general secretary of the Communist Party of India. 

China’s effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic has maintained and promoted stable economic development and made important contributions to world economic recovery, said Airlangga Hartarto, chairman of Indonesia’s Golkar Party and coordinating minister for economic affairs, and Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus, secretary-general of Golkar Party and deputy speaker of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia.

Japan and China shoulder the important responsibility of maintaining regional and world peace and prosperity, said Toshimitsu Motegi, secretary-general of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan, noting that the LDP is willing to strengthen exchanges with the CPC to promote the construction of stable and constructive Japan-China relations. He hoped that the CPC and China would score even greater development achievements.

The 20th CPC National Congress will provide a good opportunity for the new development of Iran-China relations and bring more opportunities for the two ancient Asian civilizations to expand cooperation in various fields, said Asadollah Badamchian, secretary-general of Iran’s Islamic Coalition Party.

The CPC has accumulated successful experience in leading the modernization drive and realizing national prosperity, said Kamal Kharrazi, head of Iran’s Strategic Council of Foreign Relations. He wished China, under the leadership of the CPC, to build a great modern socialist country in all respects and successfully realize the Party’s Second Centenary Goal.

China has made extraordinary achievements since the 18th CPC National Congress under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, providing valuable experience for developing countries including Laos to achieve all-round development, Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh said, adding that it is his firm belief that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the Chinese people will realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, under Xi’s leadership, China has adopted a series of wise policies and promoted Belt and Road cooperation with other countries and regions in the world, providing important support for countries around the world to cope with the current crises, said Saad Hariri, president of Lebanese Future Movement party and former prime minister of Lebanon.

Noting that 20th CPC National Congress was held at a critical historical juncture, Nabih Berri, chairman of the Amal Movement and speaker of the parliament of Lebanon, wished the event a complete success, which will promote China’s continuous prosperity and development.

The 20th CPC National Congress has a milestone significance for the CPC, China and the Chinese people as it will draw a new blueprint for a brighter future of the country, and bring the country and the people into a new stage of progress and development, said Gebran Bassil, president of the Free Patriotic Movement in Lebanon.

The friendship and mutual support between the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and China have brought tangible benefits for the people of the two countries, Speaker of the Congress of the FSM Wesley Simina said. On the occasion of the 20th CPC National Congress, the congress and the people of the FSM would like to extend best wishes to China, Simina added.

The 20th CPC National Congress will inject impetus into realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and the policies to be formulated at the congress will not only serve the interests of the Chinese people, but also benefit the world, said KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and former Nepali prime minister. 

Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and chairman of the National Assembly of Nepal, also appreciated China’s achievements in economic as well as science and technology development.

In the past decade, the Chinese Dream and the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Xi had a positive impact on the world, and created a favorable international atmosphere for countries worldwide to enhance cooperation and work together to build a just, sound and peaceful world order, said Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) and a former prime minister.

China is recognized by the international community as a leading force and an example and source of inspiration for developing countries, said Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the nation’s former prime minister Imran Khan.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistani foreign minister, expressed his belief that the congress will inject momentum into China’s endeavor to achieve its second centenary goal.

Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea James Marape said the 20th CPC National Congress mapped out a blueprint for China’s development in the future, provided an action plan for China’s new journey toward modernization, and is of important significance to not only China but also the whole world.

Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese government and people have made great achievements in such fields as poverty alleviation and green development, said Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare. He said his government will firmly support China in building a modern socialist country, and make joint efforts to promote the building of a human community with a shared future.

The CPC has led China in firmly following the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, ushering in a great new era as it champions global development and promotes common prosperity of countries throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the whole world at large, said Dinesh Gunawardena, leader of the Mahajana Eksath Peramuna and prime minister of Sri Lanka.

Under the strong leadership of Xi, China has realized the CPC’s first centenary goal and is playing an increasingly important role in the present-day world, said Mahinda Rajapaksa, leader of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party and the country’s former president, deeming the 20th CPC National Congress as a new milestone in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said the CPC has led China to great success on the path of building a modern socialist country and in eliminating absolute poverty across the country, setting an example for the world.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chano-cha expressed his strong belief that the 20th CPC National Congress will make scientific plans for the cause of the party and the country in the next five years and beyond, and chart the course for realizing the long-range objectives through 2035, building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and realizing the second centenary goal.

President of the People’s Liberation Party of Timor-Leste and Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak said his country shares brotherly friendship with the CPC and the Chinese people, with good-neighborliness, mutual trust and mutual benefit being their common pursuit. Ruak said he expects the 20th CPC National Congress will lead China to achieve lasting prosperity and development.

The CPC has led the Chinese people in creating remarkable achievements in all fields, said Armanda Berta dos Santos, leader of the KHUNTO Party and Timor-Leste’s vice prime minister, hailing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s foresight as admirable. Calling China a trustworthy friend and partner of Timor-Leste, Xanana Gusmao, leader of the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction party and former president of Timor-Leste, expressed his appreciation for China’s support for developing countries.

“This country is its people; the people are the country,” President of Vanuatu’s Vanua’aku Pati party and Prime Minister Bob Loughman quoted CPC General Secretary Xi as saying. Loughman said his party highly appreciates the CPC’s people-centered governance philosophy and is willing to lift the Vanuatu-China comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level, he said.

The 20th CPC National Congress is an important milestone in the history of the CPC’s development, said Abou el-Fadhl Baadji, general secretary of Algeria’s National Liberation Front.

The CPC has led the Chinese people in building a strong country, said Mokgweetsi Masisi, head of the Botswana Democratic Party and the country’s president. Masisi wished the CPC continuous success in advancing the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.

Since its founding, the CPC has been making unremitting efforts for China’s development, said Simplice Mathieu Sarandji, national executive secretary of the Central African Republic’s United Hearts Movement (MCU) party and president of the country’s National Assembly, adding that the MCU is willing to learn from the CPC’s experience in its prolonged struggle and development.

Noting that the 20th CPC National Congress is an important event in China’s political life, Alassane Ouattara, leader of the Rally of Houphouetists for Democracy and Peace of Cote d’Ivoire and the country’s president, said that he is willing to continue to promote the in-depth development of relations between the two parties, and deepen the friendship between the two countries for the benefit of their people.

Through the convening of the Congress, the CPC will advance to new victories, said Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, general secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, adding that his party is willing to continue to deepen its friendly relations with the CPC as well as the friendship between the people of the two countries.

Gambian President Adama Barrow said he looks forward to continuing close cooperation with China to promote their political friendship and economic development.

The 20th CPC National Congress reviews the successful experience of the past and draws up a blueprint for future development, which will surely lead China to new development, said Stephen Ayesu Ntim, national chairman of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party.

Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo said China has made outstanding achievements in such areas as economic development, poverty reduction, and scientific and technological innovation, winning recognition and admiration from all over the world.

President of APU-DPGB party and Guinea-Bissau Prime Minister Nuno Gomes Nabiam said that against the backdrop of new turbulence and changes in the world, the CPC has shown political vision and wisdom by leading the country to achieve sustainable development with a responsible attitude.

Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and Xi, China has made remarkable achievements, said Veronica Maina, secretary-general of Kenya’s United Democratic Alliance.

She expressed confidence that the exchanges between the two parties will continue to promote the healthy and stable development of Kenya-China relations and contribute to building a high-level Africa-China community with a shared future.

As the CPC starts a new journey, the Democratic Congress party of Lesotho expects to enhance relations with the sisterly CPC and deepen cooperation between the two sides, said Mathibeli Mokhothu, leader of Lesotho’s Democratic Congress party and the nation’s deputy prime minister.

Under the leadership of the CPC, China has eliminated absolute poverty, significantly improved the living standards of its people and become the world’s second-largest economy, which are remarkable achievements in the world, said Norbert Ratsirahonana, chief of the national office of Malagasy political coalition IRD and former Madagascar prime minister.

Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is full of vigor, said Lazarus Chakwera, president of the Malawi Congress Party and the country’s president. The Malawi Congress Party firmly believes that the 20th CPC National Congress will guide China to score new achievements on the new journey of socialist construction, which will benefit people of both China and the rest of the world, Chakwera noted.

Seini Oumarou, president of Niger’s National Movement for the Development of Society party and president of the country’s National Assembly, expressed his sincere admiration for the incredible achievements the Chinese people have made in national liberation and economic and social development under the leadership of the CPC.

Francois Ngarambe, secretary-general of the Rwandan Patriotic Front said the RPF has full confidence in the leadership of the CPC.

The CPC has become an important example for countries around the world to learn about state governance and poverty alleviation, as well as improving people’s well-being and promoting people-centered development, said Solly Afrika Mapaila, general secretary of the South African Communist Party.

Solomon Lechesa Tsenoli, a member of the Central Committee of the South African Communist Party and deputy speaker of the National Assembly of South Africa said he believes the 20th CPC National Congress will help the world overcome the difficulties.

Richard Todwong, secretary general of Uganda’s National Resistance Movement party, said his party believes that the 20th CPC National Congress will further promote China’s development and prosperity.

Sao Tome and Principe Prime Minister Jorge Bom Jesus, who is also the president of the Movement for the Liberation of Sao Tome and Principe-Social Democratic Party (MLSTP-PSD), said that the CPC is committed to ensuring a better life for every Chinese citizen and has made unremitting efforts to safeguard national unity and promote economic and social development.

The 20th CPC National Congress is of paramount importance for China and the whole world, said Pierre Laurent, president of the National Council of the French Communist Party and vice president of the French Senate. As the human race is faced with a host of challenges, signals of development, peace and sharing delivered by the congress are highly expected, Laurent said.

Sigmar Gabriel, former leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and former vice-chancellor and ex-minister for foreign affairs of Germany, said he believes the 20th CPC National Congress will bring new solutions to global issues for humanity, and that he expects Germany and China to enhance the willingness and ability of all countries to jointly solve human crises through international cooperation.

China has made tremendous achievements in development and demonstrated to the world the advantage of the CPC’s leadership and the socialist system, said Chairman of the German Communist Party Patrik Kobele. The 20th CPC National Congress will lay a solid foundation for China to realize socialist modernization, he added.

Former president of the European Commission and former Italian prime minister Romano Prodi said he expects China to contribute Chinese solutions to facilitate the development of the global economy as a responsible major country.

The 20th CPC National Congress will lead China’s efforts in safeguarding world peace, promoting the building of a fairer international order, and uniting global progressive forces to jointly bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and tackle climate change and other important issues, said Massimo D’Alema, former prime minister of Italy and president of Italianieuropei Foundation.

Over the past decade, China has made great achievements in developing its economy, eradicating absolute poverty and improving the living standards of its people, and has played a positive role in maintaining world stability and prosperity, said Daniel Jose Micallef, deputy leader of the Malta Labour Party.

With the unremitting efforts of the CPC, China has made extraordinary achievements in the fields including economy, politics, society, culture and national defense, said Sergey Mironov, chairman of A Just Russia-Patriots-For Truth party.

Dogu Perincek, chairman of the Patriotic Party of Turkiye, said the achievements of the CPC belong not only to China and the Chinese people, but also to humanity.

The 20th CPC National Congress is an event of great historic significance and major international influence, said Ciro Nogueira Lima Filho, president of Brazil’s Progressistas Party and chief of staff of the Brazilian presidency. Brazil cherishes its relations with China, and expects to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation, so as to better serve the interests of the people of the two countries, he said.

The 20th CPC National Congress marks a major event in China’s political life, which will open a new journey for the nation’s development and further enhance China’s important status in the international arena, said President of the Brazilian Socialist Party Carlos Siqueira.

This year is important for China as it is striving for its second centenary goal, and the CPC Congress is closely linked to the future of the Chinese people, said Horace Chang, general secretary of Jamaica Labour Party, also deputy prime minister of Jamaica and minister of national security.

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele expressed confidence that the 20th CPC National Congress will lead China and the Chinese people to new and important achievements in development, and said that his country and China will respect each other, conduct friendly cooperation and move forward hand in hand.
