Chinese Volleyball Super League kicks off on October 29

BEIJING - The 2022-23 Chinese men's Volleyball Super League will kick off on October 29 in dual host provinces Jiangxi and Henan, while the women's league is set to start on November 10 in Guangdong and Jiangsu, the sport governing authority said on Thursday.

Games will be played in a tournament format during the first stage, and the league is positively seeking for restarting the home-away system afterward in alignment with COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures.

To improve competitiveness, the league no longer restricts the number of foreign players for each team. According to the registration, more than 30 foreign players are expected to enroll in a total of 28 men's and women's clubs.

The All-Star Game is scheduled for early December.
