Chinese mainland reports 250 new local COVID-19 cases

BEIJING – The Chinese mainland registered 250 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, including 151 in Inner Mongolia and 27 in Guangdong province, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday.

Total 626 local asymptomatic carriers were also identified.

The commission said total 266 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the mainland on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals after recovery to 243,151.

No new deaths from COVID-19 were recorded on Monday, with the death toll standing at 5,226.
