BEIJING - Costa Rican forward Felicio Brown Forbes' hat-trick fired Wuhan Yangtze River to a resounding 5-0 win over Guangzhou City in the 12th round of the Chinese Super League on Saturday.

Yi Teng's own goal in the 11th minute sent Guangzhou out of control, and Forbes, 30, scored another goal four minutes later to complete his hat-trick just 15 minutes into the game.

Li Peng's goal in the 86th minute sealed the victory for Wuhan and sent Guangzhou City bottom of the table, who had only one win this season.

Elsewhere, Meizhou Hakka beat 10-man Henan Songshan Longmen 1-0 thanks to Yang Yilin's header in the 31st minute. With the victory, the league newcomer stands fifth on the table with 20 points, six points behind third-placed Henan.
