SEOUL - Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar could miss Brazil's friendly against South Korea in Seoul on Thursday after suffering a foot injury while training.

The 30-year-old published images on social media on Wednesday showing a bruised and swollen left foot. The injury is being treated with caution by Brazil's medical staff given it is the same foot in which he sustained metatarsal fractures in 2018 and 2019.

"Neymar suffered trauma to his right foot and has significant swelling," team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said. "He is undergoing treatment and were monitoring his progress. He'll undergo a new evaluation tomorrow because the injury is still very recent."

The five-time World Cup winners will play South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Thursday before facing Japan in Tokyo on Monday.

Brazil manager Tite has said he will use the matches to help define his squad for the World Cup, to be played in Qatar from Nov 21 to Dec 18.
