6 cases found in Fanling, Kwun Tong, Kennedy Town testing

HONG KONG - The Hong Kong government detected six COVID-19 cases during overnight targeted testing operations in Fanling, Kwun Tong, and Kennedy Town.

In separate statements issued on Thursday morning, the government said it set up “restricted areas” at King Tai House of On Tai Estate in Kwun Tong, Ka Yiu House of Ka Shing Court in Fanling and West Terrace of Sai Wan Estate in Kennedy Town.

There were also two indeterminate cases at King Tai House in Kwun Tong and seven such cases at Ka Yiu House in Fanling 

At King Tai House, 2,210 people underwent testing and two of them tested positive for the virus, the government said.

Three positive COVID-19 cases were found at Ka Yiu House after 1,415 people got tested while one case was identified at West Terrace after 270 people underwent tests.

There were also two indeterminate cases at King Tai House and seven such cases at Ka Yiu House, the government added.

Hong Kong reported 329 new cases on Wednesday, bringing the city’s tally after the onset of the fifth wave of infections to 1.209 million.
