BANGKOK - Shandong Taishan FC lost 3-2 to Singapore's Lion City Sailors in the AFC Champions League group stage on Sunday.

The Singaporean side continued their efforts into the second half, when Pedro Henrique headed home a corner to double his team's lead in the 60th minute.

Shandong's efforts finally paid off in the 76th minute when skipper Lu Yongtao converted a penalty for Shandong's first goal in the campaign.

The Lion City extended their lead with a quick counter-attack, before Shandong substitute Liu Guobao fired into the top corner to end the match 3-2.

In Group I, Guangzhou FC lost 5-0 to Ulsan Hyundai FC of South Korea.
