HONG KONG – Around 90 distribution points will operate from April 7 to 13 for Hong Kong residents who had not received the government’s anti-epidemic service bags to collect them.

The government has been giving out anti-epidemic service bags to nearly 3 million households across the city since Saturday. Each kit comprises 20 KN95 masks, 20 rapid antigen test agents, two boxes of proprietary traditional Chinese medicine, anti-pandemic information kits, and greeting cards.

To facilitate the public to conduct voluntary rapid antigen tests daily from April 8 to 10 and report positive COVID-19 cases, the 18 District Offices will hand out test kits at the distribution points this Thursday and Friday

For those who could not be reached during door-to-door visits, collection slips have been left for them to pick up the items at the distribution points.

Residents who had yet to obtain the service bags and did not receive the collection slips could also collect them at the distribution points after simple registration.

In addition, to facilitate the public to conduct voluntary rapid antigen tests daily from April 8 to 10 and report positive COVID-19 cases, the 18 District Offices will hand out test kits at the distribution points this Thursday and Friday, the government said Monday.

The three-day self-test is initiated in the hope of identifying patients early and cutting transmission chains in the community, the government added.

Acting Secretary for Home Affairs Jack Chan said the anti-epidemic service bags have been distributed smoothly and have been greatly welcomed by the public.
