Meng Wanzhou, chief financial officer of Huawei Technologies Co, was named as rotating chairwoman of the Chinese tech heavyweight, as the company overhauls its corporate managing committee for future development.

Meng, who made her first public appearance on Monday after returning to China from Canada last year, replaced Guo Ping as one of the three rotating chairpersons of the company, according to the company's website on Friday.
As per Huawei, the rotating chairperson is the top leader of the company during her or his duty period, which rotates every six months.

Meng, who is the daughter of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, maintains her role as CFO of Huawei.
