Members of the media visited on Thursday the Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns project to view its progress and the technology used in its construction.

With Hong Kong’s sustainable development in mind, the project aims to upgrade sewage treatment facilities and adopt an advanced sewage treatment system while freeing the STSTW’s current site of about 28 hectares for other beneficial uses.

Members of the media inspected the project site preparations and the access tunnel construction site.
