HK sees 3 new COVID-19 cases, all imported

HONG KONG - Hong Kong reported three new COVID-19 cases, all imported, on Sunday, bringing the city's tally of confirmed cases to 11,978.

In a statement, the Centre for Health Protection said the new infections involved a 31-year-old woman who had travelled to Spain, Greece, Italy, and Switzerland before arriving in Hong Kong; a 38-year-old man from Tanzania; and a 35-year-old man from Russia. They all had no symptoms.

The CHP added that a total of 25 cases were reported from July 11 to 24, including 24 imported cases and one import-related case.

A total of 32 confirmed patients were being treated as of Sunday in nine public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, including one patient in critical condition and another one in serious condition, the Hospital Authority said.
