DOJ sets National Security Law legal forum on July 5

HONG KONG – The Department of Justice will hold an online legal forum on the National Security Law on July 5 to enhance understanding and awareness about the landmark legislation.

In a statement, the government said the legal forum, titled "Security Brings Prosperity, will bring together legal experts and academics to exchange views on the application and interpretation of the National Security Law, which has been implemented for almost a year after its promulgation on June 30,2020.

The legal forum will include a series of keynote speeches given by distinguished speakers, and three panel discussions which will examine the substantive and procedural aspects of the National Security Law and deliver a comparative study of national security laws of other jurisdictions.
