Around 20 pupils injured in Hong Kong school bus accident

HONG KONG - Twenty-five people were injured when a school bus went out of control and veered into a cycling track in the Sha Tin district of the New Territories on Friday, local media reported.

The accident happened at around 1 pm when the bus, carrying around 40 pupils, collided with a private car on Tai Chung Kiu Road opposite the City One Shatin residential estate, RTHK reported. 

Twenty-five people, including 23 pupils, sustained slight injuries such as scratches to their limbs while some children were in shock. They were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital and North District Hospital for treatment, according to the report.

The bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, according to the report.
