Chinese envoy: Sino-Pakistan friendship is like a fruitful tree

Peshawar – Sino-Pakistan friendship grows like a lash green tree, giving both shelter and fruits, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong told his hosts after launching Pak-China Friendship Tree Plantation 2021 at Civil Officer’s Mess Peshawar on Monday.

At the event organized by Pakistan China Friendship Association Khyber Chapter, the ambassador planted a tree to formally launch the tree plantation drive as a part of PCFA-Khyber’s plan to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

Nong was visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province for the first time since taking office and was warmly received Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Akbar Ayub Khan, Secretary Local Council Board Khizar Hayat Khan, Director-General Peshawar City District Government Mian Shafiq-ur-Rehman, PCFA patron Tasleem Hussain, and President of PCFA Yousaf Ayub Khan along with others.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Akbar Ayub Khan cited exemplary bilateral relationship that translates into greater benefits for peoples and economic prosperity of both countries. He also noted China’s success in controlling the COVID-19, offering experiences for other nations

Speaking on the occasion, Akbar Ayub Khan cited exemplary bilateral relationship that translates into greater benefits for peoples and economic prosperity of both countries. He also noted China’s success in controlling the COVID-19, offering experiences for other nations.

The minister mentioned about the vital role of his late grandfather former president Field Marshal Ayub Khan in strengthening the Sino-Pakistan relations which were highly valued by the Chinese side.

Yousaf Ayub Khan said he looks forward to speeding up bilateral relations to next level of economic and social interactive coordination for the betterment of region.

Secretary-General Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani of PCFA Khyber Chapter said the association, established in 1970, played an active role in twining Peshawar and Urumqi as sister cities in 1985 and again Abbottabad with Kashgar in 2007.
