Chinese shares close lower Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.83 percent, at 3,566.38 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.74 percent lower at 15,003.99 points.
