BEIJING - China's anti-dumping investigation into wine imported from Australia was initiated and implemented in accordance with relevant laws, a commerce official said on Thursday.

China will continue probing the case based on laws, make a final ruling according to the results of the investigation, and determine final anti-dumping measures, Ministry of Commerce (MOC) spokesperson Gao Feng told a press briefing.

China will continue probing the case based on laws, make a final ruling according to the results of the investigation, and determine final anti-dumping measures, Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Gao Fen said

The ministry welcomes all interested parties, including those from Australia, to continue participating in the follow-up investigation procedures in accordance with laws, said Gao.

After receiving a request from the relevant domestic industry, the MOC launched an anti-dumping probe into the product on Aug 18, and made a preliminary ruling to impose temporary anti-dumping measures last month.

Importers of Australian wine are required to pay deposits ranging from 107.1 percent to 212.1 percent from Nov 28, according to the MOC's previous announcement.

According to China's anti-dumping regulations, temporary anti-dumping measures should be in place for no more than four months from their date of implementation and can be extended to a period of nine months under special circumstances.

Regarding the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy probe into imported barley from Australia, Gao pointed out that the investigation was launched in line with laws after the MOC received applications from the relevant domestic industry.

During the investigation process, China has fully guaranteed the rights of all relevant parties, heard their opinions and given them sufficient opportunities to participate in the probe, and an objective, fair and impartial conclusion has been reached, said Gao.
