Chinese shares close higher Friday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.14 percent, at 3,408.31 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.67 percent higher at 13,690.88 points.
