Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.21 percent at 3,224.36 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.1 percent higher at 12,900.7 points.
