Chinese shares close lower Wednesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.56 percent, at 3,361.3 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.87 percent lower at 13,734.13 points.
