CBA: Jilin end losing streak, Guangdong ease past Jiangsu

QINGDAO, China - Thanks to 23 points from Jiang Yuxing, the Jilin Northeast Tigers moved past the Shandong Heroes 91-80, ending their four-game losing streak, while the defending champions Guangdong Southeast Tigers routed the Jiangsu Dragons 129-81, extending their winning streak to 21 games in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Friday.

Jeremy Lin finished with 20 points and eight assists, while Ekpe Udoh had 16 points and four blocks for Beijing

After a close first half, Jilin led 42-41 when Sean Hill made a layup at the end of the second quarter, and executed excellent teamwork in the third period by enlarging the cushion to seven with a 7-0 run and keeping that advantage to the end of the game.

Jiang also made five assists, while Sean Hill added 21 points for Jilin. Despite his team's defeat, Tao Hailin scored 20 points and 10 rebounds for Shandong.

The Beijing Ducks smashed the Bayi Rockets 95-75. Jeremy Lin finished with 20 points and eight assists, while Ekpe Udoh had 16 points and four blocks for Beijing. Fang Shuo came off the bench for 17 points and six assists.

"We played eight games in 13 days, the players are really tired," said Xie Libin, head coach of Beijing. "Physical agility is really a problem for an older team like us. We'll take the next seven days off to make a full recovery."

The Nanjing Monkey Kings, without four players due to injury, lost to the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 99-85.

Zhou Qi scored a game-high 33 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Tang Caiyu posted 20 points, Zeng Lingxu added 10 points. Hamed Haddadi led Nanjing's attack with 24 points. Both Qiao Wenhan and Li Hongpeng added 16 points.

In the battle against Jiangsu, defending champions Guangdong had seven players scoring double figures, with Zhao Rui leading by 17 points. Hou Yifan finished with a game-high 29 points for Jiangsu.
