CBA star Sun discusses season plans with fans in online chat

BEIJING - Promising Chinese point guard Sun Minghui has revealed his plans and dreams for the current season in a recent online chat with basketball fans. 

He said his biggest dream is to play one-on-one with his idol Dwyane Wade.

When asked about his favorite player, Sun answered "Wade," who retired after the 2018-2019 season.

Sun added that he hoped to someday play one-on-one with the "The Flash."

As a member of China's national team, Sun has played against several world-renowned guards.

"James Harden and Chris Paul are the best players that I've played against," Sun recalled.

Sun, 24, currently plays in the CBA club Zhejiang Lions, averaging 16.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.9 steals this season. His average score is more than double that of the previous season.

Sun attributed huge progress to a mental adjustment.

"Mentally, I've witnessed a better adjustment this season," he noted.

As the CBA All-star dunk contest champion in 2017, Sun is known for by his athleticism.

During the chat, Sun expressed willingness to stay in the Zhejiang team for a long period.

"Hopefully," Sun said concerning his long-term plans with the current side.

The Zhejiang Lions currently rank fifth in CBA with a win-loss record of 19-11 after 30 rounds of action.
