F1 team McLaren confirm team member recovered from virus

BEIJING - Member from McLaren, who tested positive for COVID-19, has been recovered from the coronavirus, announced the McLaren Team.

After the positive result tested, the team member then was self-isolated and treated by the local healthcare authorities.

14 members of the team who came into close contact with him were placed in quarantine

Now the member is "recovering well and the symptoms have gone", The team said in a statment.

"14 members of the team who came into close contact with him were placed in quarantine," McLaren CEO Zak Brown said, they "are in good spirits".

"The Racing Director Andrea Stella has stayed in Australia to support those in quarantine, Brown added.

Earlier this month, McLaren team withdrew from the 2020 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix after a team member was tested positive for the COVID-19 on Thursday night. And the race was then cancelled the following day.
