Manchester United's Ashley Young joins Inter Milan

ROME - Inter Milan announced their first new arrival of the winter transfer window on Friday as veteran Ashley Young joined the Serie A giants from Manchester United on a reported 1.5 million-pound transfer fee.

Young is the third player to join Inter from Manchester United this season after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez

Having come through the youth academy of Watford, Young joined the Red Devils from Aston Villa in 2011. The winger/wingback managed 19 goals in 261 matches at Old Trafford in eight and a half seasons and won the Premier League in the 2012-2013 season.

As an England international, the 34-year-old also earned 39 caps for the Three Lions, contributing 7 goals.

Young now becomes the third player to join Inter from Manchester United this season following Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. According to the Nerazzurri, the veteran has signed a six-month contract which runs to the end of the season with an option for a further year.

Young will wear the No. 15 jersey.
