HK's Lee beats star shuttler Shi to reach Indonesia Masters' semis

JAKARTA - Lee Cheuk-yiu of China's Hong Kong claimed a straight-set win over Chinese star shuttler Shi Yuqi to reach the men's singles semifinals of the 2020 Indonesia Masters badminton tournament here on Friday.

Lee took 42 minutes to beat Shi 21-17, 21-17 at the Istora Senayan badminton arena in Indonesia's capital of Jakarta.

The Hong Kong shuttler will play Saturday's semi against Denmark's Anders Antonsen, who beat Indonesian top player Jonatan Christie 21-14, 10-21, 21-12 in an hour and eight minutes.
